To add to what Mike said, Scosche makes one that will work. BTAXS is the part number. It will plug directly into the aux port. Charging will be necessary sometimes.

You can put a light bar above the tower. That's what I did on my Supra, but without good lighting, it's a waste of money. They just shine into nothing.

Don't know if they'll quote it or not, but we've cut out that footwell before to add a WetSounds 12" XXX in an 09 24SSV Worlds Edition. You may see if you're installer would want to tackle that.
