5k is just too much for an educated buyer. He can sell it for that much to the first clueless guy that comes along, but I'm glad you did your research. It is a great boat but needs TLC and a few grand to restore it back to safe working order. I agree that if you could pick it up for 2k it would be a great project to work on. The fact that it has been in the garage for 4 years would scare me away without even looking at the stringers issue. Keep us posted.
