    Smile PCM GT40 fuel filter replacement

    Today I changed my water pump and went to change the fuel filter in the canister on my GT40 and couldn't budge the canister open, using the oil filter wrench as suggested, I did alot of pressure on it to budge it and no luck.
    I have changed it before and no problem.
    Anyone have a suggestion to loosen the canister, or has anyone had a problem to loosen it up?
    I did squirt a little WD40 on it and so far no luck.

    Had the same problem with mine. Had to take the whole mount off. Put it in a vise. And put a pipe wrench as close to the bottom as possible so that you dont crush the canister. Finally got it to break loose. Put some vasoline on the threads for next time.
