    Default WTB Z5 Cargo Rack

    Looking to buy a Z5 Cargo Rack. I have a 2007 Supra Sunsport 24V.

They finally updated their site. Probably not the cheapest option to go direct, but here you go.

    http://www.z5sportracks.com/

Based on the "price and customize" on the supra site, they're $1895. Don't know if it'd be cheaper or more $$ to go direct...if they sell direct.

Their site indicates: sold thru boat dealers only - no direct sales.

I LOVE MY Z5 ... I would really like to see their new "convertable" rack - the only
downside to a Z5 is that you ALWAYS Have the bimini "up" - unless you remove
the cloth (which I do to trailer).

I would also add, the $1895 seems STEEP, but I paid nearly a $1000 for just a bimini for my
last boat (had to be made in 2 parts to work with the tower - was not custom, this was from
Roswell - who made my old tower and killer speakers).

The Z5 has WAY more metal and custom stitching, etc to justify the higher price.

Second the Z5, I will never own another wakeboard boat without one. With kids and different types of boards (surfboards, kneeboards, skis, etc...) they are priceless. Especially with the bags taking up 80% of the space in the ski lockers, really you only need to put vests/ropes in the ski lockers with the Z5.

I thought the price was $2,300 from my dealer or at least thats what was listed on the upgrade sheet. With the bad economy they might be droping the price down. What a great, well built top... nothing but top of the line components. Will probably outlast my boat.

The z 5 actually comes off quick , just 4 quick pins and it pops out ,but you need a place to put it as its about 6' by 5'

Make sure you check out the monster tower cargo bimini... Quite a bit cheaper for (what looks to me) the same functionality.

    I hadn't seen the monster cargo bimini before. Here's a link. http://shop.monstertower.com/p-103-c...ck-bimini.aspx

    Looks decent.

I'm with Fman. Can't imagine ever owning another boat w/out one. Well worth it upgrade IMO.

I made some brackets in my garage and I hang it upside down over the rear of the boat. Its easy to hang up and out of the way. Once you take it on/off a few times its really not a big deal to install. I also never remove my canvas, even when towing. I did make some extra straps to attach from the Z5 to the tower to stabilize it more on the freeway, they work great.

Anyone ever had to replace the canvas on one yet?
