Thread: Supra Prop

    Default Supra Prop

I have the original prop on my 2005 Supra 21V. I have heard of people pitching it by 2 degrees, will this help, and will it be comparable to the acme 1235? If it is worth doing, is there anything else I need to tell the guy completing the work like balancing, or is this done when it is repitched?? Any help would be appreciated.

I use the original (13.75 x 17.5) prop when I only have 2-3 people on board. When I go to Competitions or Fly-Ins I put my 14.5 x 14.25 ACME 1235 for the extra weight in the boat. Either prop still keeps the fuel consumption at 4.5 to 4.8 gallons of fuel per hour.

I think a perfect prop for the 21V would be 14x16 if you could find one.

go to nettleprops.com and call up JT he is very knowledgable. They can do it for you for about $75. If you take it somewhere else make sure they are ACME/OJ certified. You would get much better performance getting the correct prop and keeping that one for a spare.
