My 1983 Supra Rider...then and now.

This thread will be pics of my Rider from twenty years ago to ten years ago to the present day.

As restoration ends, I will also post pics of the tear down and rebuild as I know many of you enjoy them, as you attempt this type of work on your own. I had mine professionally done and after six weeks she is finally ready to come home. She was put through her paces this week at the lake to make sure all the floor repair as well as the engine work was complete. Better than new I'm sure!

I have several things left on the to-do list and will continue to post as I push further along with the project.

Brief History: The boat was purchased by my mom's cousin in Aug. '83 and after five years and only 30 hours, my parents purchased it in March '88. My brother bought it in May '93 and I purchased it from him in April '99.

These a just a few more that I took almost twenty years ago. I thought I had more pics pre-dating these, but they just show friends and family, not the boat.
As these were taken she was all-original and she probably had less than 175 hours on her. The trailer was unmolested as well.

Yes, the Blazer is also a 1983 model. We called them trucks back then, not SUV's. Wish I still had that truck!

I'm thinking that Blazer deserves the same treatment as the boat. That's a great looking rig combo!!!!

Great looking pics! Isn't it crazy how we sell stuff and wish we had kept it later. I saw your Blazer and immediately thought of the 83 Suburban that I wish I still had!

Found a few pics of her in the water. Probably taken mid-summer 1999 or 2000.

jasonba--haven't picked her up yet. Hoping to get up there middle of next week. Haven't seen the carpet to be honest. He says it is RED! Hoping to catch Jim same day and get quote on upholstery. (wifey is upset, so may not happen!)

mapleleaf--thanks. fun truck to have in high school.

csuggs--yeah, I sold the truck cheap in '91. needed to unload it. always wish I had kept it.
that is why I haven't sold this boat, but it has crossed my mind a few times.

What a total classic! Get a nice profile pic and get it blown up for a poster! That all-around teak trim is just glowing and it looks amazing!!!
