replacing supertraps with rubber flappers

can i just unbolt supertaps off the back of my 87 comp and bolt on rubber flappers without any mods.

I believe that you can. I recently installed Fresh Air Exhaust and the part that mounts to the boat is basically flapper flanges without the flappers. You may have to cut the mounting bolt off that the supratrapps screw on to. I'd also use a generous amount of black RTV to seal the hull to the flapper flanges.

There is a threaded bolt that sticks out the rear about 4" or so. It would need to be cut off.
