Growing up like any average child, Thomas immersed himself in a variety of sports such as baseball, soccer, and wrestling. However, it was at the tender age of 5 that he was introduced to wakeboarding, courtesy of his supportive father. Instantly captivated by the thrill of gliding across the water, Thomas found his true calling. Residing in the Midwest presented its challenges, as he sought more time on the water to stay competitive. Determined to pursue his dreams, Thomas embraced the opportunity to travel nationwide, forging enduring friendships and honing his skills through competition and training.
As Thomas matured, so did his passion for wakeboarding. On his 18th birthday, he seized the opportunity to make a life-changing decision, relocating to Orlando, Florida, known as a mecca for the sport. This strategic move allowed him to train year-round alongside the industry’s finest. Now residing on the shores of Lake Jessamine, Thomas is fully committed to pushing the boundaries of his abilities, continuously striving for progress and innovation on the water.
Ascending to the Pro division was an extraordinary achievement for Thomas, who found himself competing against his former idols. The experience was surreal, and in his debut year on the Pro Wakeboard Tour, he earned the esteemed title of “Rookie of the Year.” At a remarkable 19 years of age, Thomas is living his dream as a professional wakeboard athlete, leaving no room for a Plan B. His unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence have captured the attention of the wakeboarding community, and the future holds great promise for his continued growth.
