Transferring Warranty On A Supra Boat

Supra Boats are backed by Supra’s Protection & Warranty Plan. While this is great news for new boat buyers, used Boat buyers are left wondering, “Is the warranty transferable?” The answer, yes, but with some conditions.

Our Supra Dealers are happy to help you with any questions you may have concerning warranty transfers.  Here are the basics…

If you are interested in transferring the warranty for your boat, you have 14 days from your purchase date to complete the transfer.

Each boat will be different depending on how the original owner ordered the boat.  The expiration clock starts ticking from the date the boat is registered.  We can only transfer a warranty from the first owner to a second owner.  We have four types of coverage –– Structural, gelcoat, dash system and base warranty.

The engine warranty is separate and purchased through Indmar.

Warranty Coverage

  • Base Ltd. Warranty -- 5 Years
  • Dash System -- 3 Years
  • Gelcoat -- 1 Years
  • Structural -- Lifetime/10 Years
  •

What's included in the base warranty?

  • Components
  • Audio
  • Instrumentation
  • Electronic Systems
  • Tower Structural & Cosmetic
  • Carpet
  • Upholstery
  • Canvas

Structural Warranty:

The structural warranty is lifetime for the first customer only.  If the warranty is transferred, the structural warranty will last ten years.  The time starts from the date of the original sale to the first owner.

If you are interested in transferring the warranty for your boat, you have 14 days from your purchase date to complete the transfer.  You will need a copy of the bill of sale from the first owner (or dealership) to yourself.  Your dealer will schedule you for a boat inspection and then file the paperwork for your transfer.  If you have any questions, please contact your dealership.
